The Seer

"The Seer." I love drawing with the Pentel Brush Pen while incorporating an additional ink (like my favorite Ecoline Pastel Red). The ink in the brush pen is not waterproof so when the additional red is added the inks bleed together in often unpredictable ways that have to be guided and coerced into the desired shapes.

This drawing was also the first time I used a Deleter Screen Tone sheet. This is how comic book dots were originally added to create various values and pattern qualities. It's a sticker sheet that must be cut to the exact size and shape and adhered to the drawing. It was a fun challenge and I adore the effect it added to the jacket and overall piece.
